Members
of the FBI's S.A.F.E. Team arrested a Glendale man for possessing
child pornography, announced Salvador Hernandez, Assistant Director
in Charge of the FBI in Los Angeles.
Ivan Carcelen,
56, was taken into custody without incident after an investigation
by task force officers with the SAFE Team (Sexual Assault Felony
Enforcement). Carcelen has been charged by the District Attorney
in Los Angeles with possession of matter depicting a minor engaging
in sexual conduct, a violation of California Penal Code, Section
311.11(a).
Carcelen
is currently employed as a special education teacher at a middle
school within the Los Angeles Unified School District.

with information about children who may have been victimized
should contact the SAFE Team. In Los Angeles, the FBI may be

participating on the SAFE Team as full time members include
FBI, CHP, LA Sheriff's Department, LAPD, California Department
of Justice, the Orange County Sheriff's Department, U.S. Postal
Inspection Service, United States Attorney's Office and the
District Attorney's Office in Los Angeles and Orange County.
